Foyle's War

Michael Kitchen stars as Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle. It's World War II, and Foyle, a veteran of the 1914-18 war, would rather lend his services to the armed forces, but his superiors feel he's more valuable as a police officer. Together with his sergeant, Paul Milner (Anthony Howell), and driver, Samantha "Sam" Stewart (Honeysuckle Weeks), Foyle carries on the battle against crime at home.
