On Tuesday night we aired a program (above) discussing the fight over the government's controversial Bill 115. We also had a lively Twitter chat on the topic.
During the chat, and in previous chats we've had on the subject, this sentiment has been expressed by several teachers:
#AgendaTvo finally someone presenting the True facts. This is NOT about pay, this is about our rights! #etfo #osstf #CUPEOntario

Job action is not about pay it is about fundamental rights being stripped. #AgendaTVO @anniekidder

Do you buy the "this is all about collective bargaining rights" line? Or, do you think it's a dodge that's being used because it sounds more noble than cutting extracurricular activities because of lost sick days?
Given that public sentiment does have a role to play in determining the outcome of this fight, I'd like to get a better sense of what people think.
Please chime in with your thoughts as to whether you believe the teachers are sincere when they say they are fighting for everyone's rights to collectively bargain and not their own compensation package.
